Our friends Carrie + Kurtis had a beautiful baby girl this spring- baby Evelyn. We've all collectively fallen head over heels for her & those blue eyes. Carrie wanted to capture her at this 3 month mark with her parents up at Fort Wilderness- a place near & dear to all their hearts, and I'm so glad we did.
Soon they'll be heading down to Nicaragua to live as missionaries- primarily working with teens at risk. They're taking their talents, hearts, & lives to serve Christ in a foreign land to them. To say I'm humbled by them is such an understatement. I cannot wait to visit them and see their ministry unfold.
When we moved to Indy from Chicago I felt lonely in 100 different ways. Carrie and Kurtis were some of the first people in Indy to feel like family. Every time we'd be in a sea of unfamiliar faces I knew that if I just saw theirs I wouldn't feel so much like an outsider. So alone. Serving alongside them in our youth ministry at church was such a tremendous joy and they will be sorely missed. Selfishly, I want to hold onto them forever. God has blessed Taylor & I with some of our sweetest friendships on earth here in Indy. I am so thankful for the last 2 and a half years building memories with them.
Carrie & Kurtis we love you both so much.
And now we love your beautiful blue eyed daughter too.
I miss you already.
